Get the science right, then call back.

Here Dana spreads the goods on Stockwell "wetsuits-r-us" Day and his uninformed view of global warming.

Here, Shane, at ThePolitic, in defence of "Daisy", provides this bit of scientific insight: (Emphasis mine)

Now GLOBALLY speaking, climate change could be bad. One thing I keep on missing though. Paleontologically speaking, the world used to be MUCH warmer. The Arctic used to feature tropical plants, if the geological record is to be believed. Man is the most adaptable species ever to exist on the face of the earth. Why would a warmer planet kill us off? Did dinosaurs have some kind of heat-impervious membrane we don’t have? One more unexplained mystery for science I suppose.
Paleontologically?

No.... that's the wrong science if you're addressing prehistoric climate change.

The sciences that deal with prehistoric climate are paleoclimatology and paleoceanography, divisions, repectively, of climatology and oceanography. Unless my oceanography degree has suddenly become no fucking good.

Don't try to teach us science unless you can do science.
