Why do people laugh at creationists? Part 1 & 2

A couple of years ago an amateur documentary producer known as ThunderfOOt decided it was time take the garbage spewed by biblical creationists and "intelligent design" peddlers and pick apart the cherry picking they present as "science". The result was a five hour documentary done in 32 parts.

The producer never marketed it, never offered it on DVD and made no money from it. He did, however, put it on YouTube.

It's an amazing piece of work which tears the creationists' myths and they're so-called "science" to shreds. And not in a polite way. He calls them what they are. He also accuses them of wasting the time of scientists and others who, in order to ensure scientific pursuit remains scientific, find themselves having to sweep the path clear of religious mysticism.

I will be presenting ThunderfOOt's documentary over the next few weeks. I will try to give you a daily installment of two parts per day through to its end. That would be a manageable 10 minutes per day. In any case, you can always go to YouTube to find the whole series, or you can go here and watch the whole 5 hours. (I would suggest, beer, popcorn and a big screen connection if you're going to do the whole thing at once.)

Oh yes, something I should mention. There is a tendency, when one of us reality-based types exposes the BS the creationists and ID freaks peddle as "science", for the comments section to fill with over-the-top religious nuts defending their superstitious nonsense. When they don't evoke a rebuttal they turn into right-proper nasty bastards to which I think their declared Lord and Saviour might object. Go right ahead. It just adds to the exposure.
