It only took 38 years but George W Bush has finally put his feet on the ground in Viet Nam. It's a much safer place now. Much safer than when he was diligently avoiding actually serving there as a member of the armed forces.
Hopefully someone will point out to Bush that the streets of Hanoi that his motorcade takes during the Asia-Pacific conference are the very same streets that American A-6 pilots flew down at roof-top level, some of them getting their asses shot off.
Perhaps if Bush had actually gone to Viet Nam he might not have been so eager to start another one.
