National Online Media Should Close Their Comments Boards

Recently the Chicago Tribune shut down the comment boards on their website for all volatile topics.

I agree with this decision.

I also think it's time for the major national papers and networks in Canada to do the same and for the same reasons.

Either that or spend the money and time to make them fully moderated and to require verifiable real name registration with address and telephone number included.

As they are now they're a vexatious waste of time.
