The CBC has created a great election website called Canada Votes 2006. There is a quiz which gives you the opportunity to compare the responses of all the major parties on 12 major issues. You then get to compare your responses against the position of the parties. The best part about it is, it's a blind quiz. You only get to see how you agree or disagree with a party position on the issue after you finish. The results can be quite surprising for some.
There is a problem with the quiz in that it is based on whichever party forms government to actually follow through. If this quiz had existed in 1993 and you had "agreed" with eliminating the GST, you would have agreed with the Jean Chretien Liberals, and you'd still be waiting to eliminate the GST.
In any case, it is a worthwhile exercise and the rest of the site has a ton of information.
