Jumping the shark - over and over and over

Shorter Tony Blankley: If the media were doing their jobs properly you never would have heard of that trivial little massacre in Haditha.

Alternative short: I really really like living in a country where nobody prevents me from publishing anything I think, where I can appear on a talk show and state any opinion and where I know I cannot be censored. But that's me. You shouldn't have the same rights.

Washington Times columnist, former British subject, suspended lawyer and all-round neo-con talking head Blankley runs to the favoured ultra-right defence of bad acts - blame it on the media for reporting it.

Why hasn't this guy's head exploded yet?
