Yes, yes, people never use calculus again.

But they do problem solve and do math.

99% of people will never read Shakespeare again, or remember a damn thing about 17th century europe,
or play volleyball, or play their band instrument, or program in Java, etc...

The point of learning basically everything past literacy -
You learn to practice learning (and hell, you only become literate to allow other learning).

To find the 1% who might actually like something enough to pursue it.
