Armed nutballs are OK by Harper

In the logo used by the Canadian Institute for Legislative Action, Canada, geographically, figures less prominently than the other parts of the Americas. That seems to fit with the fact that they get a lot of help from foreigners.

And yes, Americans belonging to the National Rifle Association are foreigners.
Documents and correspondence obtained by the CBC show the NRA has provided logistical and tactical support to organizations such as the Canadian Institute for Legislative Action (CILA), established in 1998 to lobby Ottawa to shut down the registry.
So, it's OK for  foreign NRA nutballs to involve themselves directly in Canadian policy but, whoa there Nelly, don't let foreign scientists talk about the tidal waters of BC and the prospect of an oil spill.

Take it away RossK.

Given the way the Harperians are trending it would probably be a very good idea for Canadians to arm themselves and become proficient.

I kid you not.

I'm not clear if any elected federal MP's have clarified or re-stated or validated why they paid an American electoral service bureau to supply a winning push 'so to speak' or allowed them any involvement in any way.. in our 2011 Federal Election. They were the Harper 14 if I'm not mistaken. All victorious in their respective ridings.

I wonder how this connects to your note on CRA having a bizarre relationship to our older values, laws and legislation.
Americans slyly getting mixed up in Canadian 'matters' .. by a Canadian that sees this as useful or needed.

I must review the Harper 14 more closely.. as its a remarkable story. I recall Vaughn, Ontario and old police law n order guy Fantino.. hand picked by Harper himself.. stolen away from the courting Liberals ! Fantino with help from new stars like Stephen Lecce, a mysterious large guy with a reddish goatee and some Americans.. goes on to smashing victory, All Star's like Baird and Del Mastro on hand.. for photo opps ! This campaign is rumored loudly to have funded itself.. PLUS 8 or more other ridings due to having way too generous supporters. And there's maybe a loaded or rogue bank account or two that's not passing the Election Canada Rule Book sniff test. Sniff Sniff .. uh oh .. Where there's smoke there's fie. So to get this straight. We had boots on the ground American 'advisors' and contracted suppliers, in Canadian ridings, invited by Canadian electoral candidates. Door to door volunteering. Live Calls, Robo Calls .. and invoices to prove it.

And .. !! 14 electoral candidates out of those fab 14 ... elected ..
and down in the US of A the electoral consults were crowing about the massacre, boasting
'and wait until we sell them on higher numbers using VOIP technology!'

I'll say it again slowly .......
Could those 14 federal candidates explain or clarify the criteria that led to hiring, contracting, paying
or even engaging in conversation or contract with shady, disreputable American (foreign) zealots such as this.

If your campaign 'victory' in any way is related to an involvement with these persons ..
please express it in an open letter or an apology .. to Canadians..
We are listening.. We are watching .. We are Canadian ...
