Canadian content . . .

THE NY TIMES has an article, "Diplomats Noted Growing Mistrust by Canadians Toward U.S.", by Charlie Savage. WikiLeaks cables from a couple of years back mention —

“The degree of comfort with which Canadian broadcast entities, including those financed by Canadian tax dollars, twist current events to feed longstanding negative images of the U.S. — and the extent to which the Canadian public seems willing to indulge in the feast — is noteworthy as an indication of the kind of insidious negative popular stereotyping we are increasingly up against in Canada,”

Anti-Americanism is a global phenomenon now.

All these countries and all these people have almost nothing else in common with one another except that they're anti-American.

A therapist would have a field day with the USofA on the couch.

Of course, it never ever occurred to them that growing mistrust of the US might be founded on their behaviour. No, couldn't possibly be that... could it?

I really love the way the security apparatus in Canada likes to suck up to their US counterparts.

By the twisting of current events surely they are referring to balanced reporting not dependent upon government spin. How orrible! Poor babies.
