The bad driver and the president.

Alrighty then! It's time we all had a little video to watch. So... watch this video, in its entirety, and then we'll have a little discussion.

Click here for a fantastic video.

Now, the behaviour of the driver in the video is best described as what?
1. Persistence;
2. Stupidity;
3. Ignorance;
4. Selfishness;
5. All of the above

When answering, keep in mind that the parking space was clearly too small; the driver really did not know what she was doing (even if the space was larger, she failed to execute the proper maneuvers for a parallel park); the driver had a complete lack of regard for the other parked vehicles, hitting them several times before rushing off without so much as a note of apology.

Now read this, this and this. Skim it if you like.

Now take a look at this video clip from Crooks and Liars.

Continuing: The driver in the first video clearly had a problem. So, the question is put to you:
Was it the responsibility of anyone witnessing the event to do any more than point out that the parking space was clearly too small for the vehicle; that the driver did not know how to parallel park; and that the best solution was to drop the idea entirely and just move on (after offering to compensate the owners of adjacent vehicles for the damage done)?

Given that, and taking into account that the Bush administration has persistently rejected all advice and pursued a course of action in Iraq with the belief that they alone possess the power and knowledge to continue a failed policy, how can these statements be reconciled?

Bush:
But those who refuse to give this plan a chance to work have an obligation to offer an alternative that has a better chance for success. To oppose everything while proposing nothing is irresponsible.

Cheney:
I have yet to hear a coherent policy out of the Democratic side with respect to an alternative to what the President has proposed in terms of going forward.
