On March 4th, 1966, (some will say April, but that was their debut), Stephen Stills, Dewey Martin, Bruce Palmer, Rich Furay and Neil Young formalized the formation of a new folk-rock music group.
Stills and Furay were staying with record producer Barry Friedman. Parked outside Friedman's house was a steam-roller embossed with the name of the manufacturer - Buffalo-Springfield Roller Company.
