I came across this article in the Winnipeg Free Press telling us about the parallel scandal to the Mulroney/Schreiber affair.
Apparently the bag of money exchange was known about and written about '03 and no one paid any attention.
Why? As Lawrence Martin says, "Such is the ideological trend in the print media -- broadcast has more balance -- that the largest segment of the population, centre-left Canadians, are at risk of losing their voice."
Or as Stephen Kimber says, "The Ottawa media is small-c conservative and has been for a long time."
Now go here and read some of this too. And while you're at it check out this. Even though it's from 2003 it's still the most recent survey of Canadian media habits and attitudes I could find.
Is it any wonder the country's getting covered in shit faster than we can wipe?
