Heifer International seasonal reminder

Just a reminder to readers that Dana has established a charitable donation portal with Heifer International where donations can be made to the Canadian Bloggers registry.

This is open to everyone and anyone who wishes to donate to this worthy cause. It's a great development program which provides animals and training for husbandry, food production, breeding and expansion through villages around the world.

You can check out the progress of donations by going here.

If you have a charity you feel should be mentioned, please feel free to mention it in comments.

A link to the Canadian Blogger registry of Heifer International is also permanently established on the right sidebar. (There is no left sidebar, so even I can find it.)

Feed a family; feed a village

This is another reminder that Dana has set up a registry with Heifer International called Canadian Bloggers. Please check it out and consider making a donation this season. It costs little and your contribution goes toward helping a village become food self-sufficient.

There is also a link on the top of the sidebar which will take you directly to the registry.

At last report we are at 1 flock of chickens, 5 shares of a goat, 2 shares of a heifer and 2 shares of a llama. Dana will provide any further updates in the comments.

This is one of the more proactive charities that gets out there and does real work. Take some time to check it out.

Spread the word if you can. This is open to everyone; not just Canadians and not just bloggers. And as you can see, some of our friends to the south have joined in. Many thanks to everyone who has linked up.
