The time for action was before the election, this rearguard action now will have little impact. However it never hurts to raise a little hell for a good cause.

...a nation-wide general strike coupled with civil disobedience aimed at shutting down tarsands production.
Might do something effective against Harper.gov and for the future generations. Of course, it might also create conditions which would allow Harper to declare a national emergency give himself the powers that go with it.

thanks for this, I have been thinking for a while that it is time, and more than time, to get serious, I have seen Naomi Klein in action (at Massey Hall last year) and was one of the thousand or so she spurred to action that night
