Not to be a rainy parade type when others have found the bit , but actually, the thing that struck me was that no one talked to or even acknowledged the guy until the last when he initiated a conversation. And they just dumped the money and made him fish around for and hopefully find it. Even when she took up the sign, she ignored HIM and made him guess what was going on, not asking his permission.
A simple variation on "Love, mind if I try something to help your returns?" would have at least given his agency in the matter a nod.

Niles, all good points but to sell the message in such little time, they had to build up the element of surprise. I thought it was a brilliant advert.
