Thetan theatrics . . .

THE ELRONISTAS ARE CHUFFED, according to Lawrence Wright's account, "The Apostate", in the New Yorker. You see, Paul Haggis doesn't believe anymore, after climbing to the top of the Elronic dogma. Paul's not your average Elron, he's a 2-time Oscar winner, and the Hollywood Elrons are chuffed. Canadian, too. For more background on Elron, do check out The Bare Faced Messiah, which is an entertaining account of how Elron became a legend in his own mind. You can read it on-line here.

Remember, according to Elron, clams got legs.

Chuffed? The elronistsas are pleased as punch that Paul Haggis has left the cult "church"?

I have noticed, more and more, the word chuffed being used incorrectly. If North Americans don't know the usage of British slang, maybe they shouldn't use it.

PS Bravo to Haggis for finally coming to his senses.

Sorry, Alison, in my neck of the woods, it means "stoked-up".

I've only ever heard the word 'chuffed' used by Aussies, and to them it means pleased, with connotations of being proud about something as well.

I stopped by to make a similar remark. Chuffed is the faded positive of "dischuffed" (disaffected, upset), and means pleased or happy.

Gee, how I do learn. :)
