Help Ontario wildlife . . .

DALTON'S DASTARDLY DEMONS are at it again. The David Suzuki Foundation has a fine blog, with a post by Jode Roberts, "Driving a hole through Ontario's Endangered Species Act". Seems that some trolls in the Ministry of Natural Resources are proposing that a lot of protection should evaporate. Click on the link to help.

Unfortunately, last month the Ministry quietly put out a notice that they would like to give themselves new powers to exempt both existing and new activities from going through the bother of meeting requirements under the Act, and give power to industry to self-police.

Back to the Bates . . .

DALTON EXITS Ontario politics with a masterful stroke: proroguing the Ontario Legislature. As a result, there are no debates about the worst series of mistakes committed by an Ontario administration in one very long time. From E-Health, to Ornge, to the Oakville Power Station Stumble, to the battle with Ontario teachers. All of this becomes something for the next government to deal with.

But Dalton may still have some worries: the G20 violations of Canadian civil rights will be appearing in court next year. Did Dalton's amendment that was not Gazetted mean that hundreds were arrested illegally?
