I saw that Crusty column and thought to myself "Wow, she really is boasting about the success of the residential schools program in 'killing the Indian in the child' and acting as a booster club for cultural assimilation. And she is getting well paid for it. What a horrible, horrible person."
Ed, did you notice "talking points" running through Blatchford's piece and repeated in Ivison's and the Ottawa Citizen's Terry Glavin's piece? These rabid rightwingers are on a full court press agin those simplistic, naive and self-serving injuns, yessir.
