Really cool post. It would be nice to see the nuts and bolts of it. But interesting enough as it is.
ReplyDeleteThat's all from the book "Hungry Planet". The pix are from a Time magazine feature about the book a few years ago. There's more countries than just those in the Time piece.

These photos illustrate perfectly why we're heading for revolution unless we achieve some equity in our world.
ReplyDeleteWonderful spread.
ReplyDeleteIf you believe that prediabetes is caused in large part by diet, people sure spend the money on 'processed food' wrapped in plastic which causes spoilage at a great rate.
I was surprised when a customer on a frozen food route said fresh from frozen concentrated orange juice stored in glass would last a week - but would be bad the next day in plastic.
I couldn't get a handle on my weight when I was scoffing down sugar and starch treats/foods or soda pop wholesale - and they are addictive. Root vegetables and raw or near raw food prepared from fresh will keep you healthier than 3 times the other gourmand fill.
The way we eat will make animals sick - ask the vet - but we act as if there will be no price to pay for excess.
Note sure about the diet but I really like the Ayme family digs. Very cool post indeed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this, I showed it to my daughter Cairo and it really gave her an idea about how different some people's lives are. Excellent.
