Sometimes, things work right . . .

A SMALL PIECE OF GOOD NEWS: according to the CBC, Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani is not going to be put to death by stoning, thanks in part to a world-wide protest organized by Heather Reisman and others. When you put the mad mullahs under the spotlight, you can get them to play nice. But dealing with a medieval apocalyptic mind-set is a challenge. 

What I find disturbing is the deafening silence of Canadian Muslims on this, and other examples, like the poor unfortunate Afghani woman getting a Taliban-prescribed Kalashnikov headache below: you never hear of them protesting or picketing the Iranian embassy, for example.
