Harper's habit of trashing his own country on the international stage.

What's wrong with this statement by Steve Harper?
If his government's efforts to reform the Senate are stymied, Prime Minister Stephen Harper said Tuesday, the upper chamber should be abolished. "Canadians understand that our Senate, as it stands today, must either change or — like the old upper houses of our provinces — vanish."
Aside from the fact that Harper is suggesting a unicameral parliament, it is where he said it.

The quote comes from a speech given to a joint sitting of the Australian parliament where Harper was invited to speak.

I guess finding issues of common importance to both countries was just beyond his limited abilities.

Note to Harper: Domestic issues stay at home. If you can't figure that out for yourself, don't bother coming back.
