First: Robert Kennedy. Then: 9/11. The dots DO connect if your a Blogging Tory

I usually ignore the Blogging Tories and the inanities which emanate from Wankerville but every so often one gets so ridiculous that it demands comment.

To wit, Frank at mesopotamia west produced this amazing piece of analysis whereby he suggests that Robert Kennedy was assassinated by an Islamic terrorist.

The program Sunday Morning on CBS had a segment today on the movie Bobby which had a quote in it from Robert Kennedy. "We are," he said, "a nation of compassion, a nation of peace, not a nation of war." Kennedy was shot, I was reminded, by Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian.

Isn't it amazing to think all this happened before we understood Islamism, before there was even a name for that world-wide enterprise. Islam was on the march, even then, while we were still fixated on Vietnam.
It is amazing!

In fact, it's amazing that Frank, given the flavour of his postings, saw fit to play the Bobby Kennedy card at all. Most present day conservatives would have choked on Kennedy's politics.

But, that's minor stuff. It gets better.

Islam was on the march, even then, while we were still fixated on Vietnam.

Islam?! Does Frank mean to tell us that Sirhan Bishara Sirhan was actually an Islamic terrorist? And does this mean Kennedy's assassination was a foretelling of 9/11?

Why didn't we see this coming?

(No, no. Don't laugh yet. The humour is coming.)

Sirhan Sirhan was a Palestinian born Christian. He was raised as a Maronite, which is Catholic. Sirhan, as an adult, changed his specific beliefs many times and became, among other things, a Baptist, A Seventh Day Adventist and a Rosicrucianist. All of those sects are Christian.

One doesn't have to go too far to dig out this very public information. In fact, all you have to do is go to the hyperlink provided in mesopotamia west's post where he tries to paint Sirhan as a Muslim extremist.

It must suck when people read more than the title.
