Spaced out Sundays
Think the sky is mostly a great dark void? Think again. This is the globular cluster M22 in the constellation Sagittarius. It’s about 8,500 light years away and is about 60 light years in diameter. The picture shows only 3 light years worth of the cluster but displays a staggering 10 million stars. It’s pictures like this that keep my feet planted firmly on the ground and remind me of my place in the universe… not an insignificant grain of sand, but rather, a small part of something massive and wonderous.
