Black is Black

Gene Pitney has gone to the big jukebox in the sky.

There was a time in my teens when he commanded almost as much of my musical attention as did the Mersey revolution begun by The Beatles.

"Town Without Pity", "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance", "24 Hours From Tulsa", "Down in the Boondocks", "It Hurts To Be In Love", "Mecca" and so many more.

"Black is Black"....

If you don't know his music it's all over the file sharing networks just now.

He was once a big, big star who made terrific music of his very own.

Added to clarify: I'm not advocating theft of property. I'm suggesting you listen to a few and if you like what you hear go and buy a retrospective disk. Then delete the tracks that convinced you to buy the disk. As is of course proper and right.
